Beginners from 5 to 11 years old

Children learn how to hold and handle a foil and how to guard. They discover simple attack and defense techniques, the rules of assault, and the values of fencing. They measure their progress at club tournaments and participate in the first animation tournaments in Paris. They attend accompanied by their parents, supervised and coached by a fencing master or experienced fencers from the club.

Confirmed (M9 - M11)

The children learn how to trap their opponent and use sophisticated techniques for hitting, defending themselves, counterattacking, and retaliating. They know how to prepare their equipment for competition and make decisions during fights. They participate in the first tournaments of the Paris League. They attend accompanied by their parents and supervised and coached by the fencing master or experienced fencers from the club.

Confirmed (M11 - M13)

They know the rules, techniques, and strategies of fencing and are applying them better and better. Matches are increasing from six to eight hits and two 2-minute bouts for the U11s, and then to two 3-minute bouts for the U13s. The bouts are more closely contested and the opponents are more numerous: they come from all over the Île-de-France region. The tactical aspect is becoming crucial, and technique is becoming more refined.

Confirmed (M13 - M15)

They improve their skills, toughen their minds, and begin to compete against older, more experienced fencers at the club: it's the best training for progress. They participate in the first competitive tournaments and discover the pressure of these competitions. The U15s move to 10 hits per bout and prepare for their first national championship: the Youth Festival, always a wonderful fencing festival.

Competitors U15 - U17

They have a taste for high performance sport and train several times a week. They improve their technique and tactics and strengthen their physical preparation: The matches go to 15 touches and 3 times 3 minutes of combat for the U17s. The best make the first tournaments abroad: 20 French shooters are admitted to the U17 World Cup tournaments. The first of them go to the world championships.

Competitors U17 - U20

The fights are becoming increasingly physical and the pace is increasing. Physical preparation is becoming essential and is taking up a full role in training. International Senior tournaments, which they can compete in as overclassified players, show the U17 and U20 players the gap that still separates them from the top level. The best are defending their chances at international level, culminating in the European and World Championships.

Seniors

Many of our Seniors are very well classified, have sporting ambitions and do intensive high level training, despite studies, employment, social life and family. They often cross swords with seniors from other clubs who come to our weapons room to compete with our competitors. Our Seniors participate in major tournaments at national and international level, prepare for these events and are always good for a performance.

Veterans

They want to maintain optimal physical condition for health reasons. They practice fencing as a leisure sport which combines a social bond with a regular sporting activity. They appreciate contact with young people and share their passion and experience with them. For several years, veterans have had their own competition circuit and their French Championship. The best can go to the European and World Championships.

Adults leisure

There are no medical requirements for practicing fencing. The equipment is lightweight, and the practice is very safe. Thanks to our experienced fencing masters, both women and men quickly learn the basics of technique and coordination, and can enjoy the sport. There are also "Adult Leisure" tournaments in Paris!
